Sophie is of average height, reaching around 5’5 when she stands. She has a very lean, athletic body, due to the countless hours she spends practicing for Quidditch and working out to keep her body toned. She has brown hair that is the color of ___ and reaches past her shoulders. Sophie keeps it long enough to make sure that she can still put it up in a ponytail or bun, the way she almost always wears it. He hair is straight and surprisingly attractive when she wears it down, but she hardly every takes the time to leave it down to make it look nice. Sophie has very dark eyes like her father, but the rest of her facial feature almost seem identical to her mother’s.
Despite her rather severe devotion to Quidditch, Sophie has been blessed with very attractive looks. As a result she has many male admirers of both her beauty and her Quidditch skills. This attention doesn’t distract her in the slightest – Sophie simply takes advantage of this by having said admirers run errands for her (which they gladly do) then ignoring them otherwise.
Personality - [1+ paragraphs]
Sophie is all about Quidditch. To most, in fact, it seems as though the wizarding sport is the only thing that she ever thinks about. She is extremely dedicated to the sport, and even though she manages to do fairly well in all her classes, she has often been caught in the middle of a lecture daydreaming or working out the details about a new maneuver. Outside of class she spends all of her time in the sky on her broom practicing.
Sophie is the type of person who decides on a goal and puts all their effort into achieving it. As her goal is to become a professional Quidditch player and join the Puddlemere United team like her father, she spend every spare moment working toward this goal. As a result, she has very few friends outside of those on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, who are like family to her. She is very loyal to these other athletes and would defend each of them to anyone else.
She is also dedicated to helping her team succeed and is always willing to help other players improve their game. She is very perceptive when it comes to minor details and extra movements that need to be changed to make plays better and smoother and often this ability of hers has been the difference between winning and losing a match.
Sophie also has a lot of house pride, and she wears her Quidditch clothes at every opportunity she has. For the most part, she refuses to speak to anyone who isn’t a Gryffindor. She tends to be an ice queen, outside of Quidditch only speaking when she has to and rather snubbing her admirers – either of her Quidditch skills or her good looks. These poor fools are simply abused to do whatever tiresome errands she doesn’t feel like doing, though she never has them do her homework for her.
Out on the Quidditch pitch, Sophie becomes one of the bravest students at the school. In order to get a win, she will attempt any pass or maneuver, no matter how dangerous, to steal the lead away from the opposing team. This quality of hers has made her an invaluable player to the team, and though she has gotten injured quite often, it has never been so serious as to keep her off the pitch for more than a few days. She is obviously very competitive on the pitch and is quite a fierce force to contend with when heading toward the goal to score for the Gryffindor team.
As far as socializing goes, Sophie tends to be quiet and stand in the background at social gatherings. She prefers to sit back and observe other people instead of being involved, unless the conversation turns to Quidditch. Sophie can’t manage to hear a mention of the sport without putting in her own views, or sharing a story, and eventually dominating the conversation. Even though she doesn’t have a high opinion of her own intelligence in most areas, she believes that she is an expert in the area of Quidditch, an attitude that is plainly obvious to others.
History - [2+ paragraphs]
As the daughter of Oliver Wood and Katie Bell, Sophie seemed to come by her Quidditch skills naturally. Her father had her riding his broom with him from the time she was old enough to say the word “fly”, and it wasn’t long before she was able to go on her own. Even though he may have been slightly prejudiced, Oliver immediately noticed her natural ability and was determined that she would be a professional Quidditch player just like he was. Sophie had no problem with this plan, loving the game and the feel of the wind brushing past as you flew against it to score a goal.
Sophie was thrilled to be beginning school, having been informed that Hogwarts had Quidditch teams that played against each other on a regular basis. She couldn’t wait to get out on the school’s pitch and show off her skills to her fellow students and the professors at the school.
Once at school, she was sorted into Gryffindor, the only House she wanted to be in because both her parents had been in Gryffindor. Sophie was rather disappointed to discover that she couldn’t spend all of her time playing Quidditch, but that she had to go to classes and work on homework as well. Nevertheless, she dealt with the disappointment and put in the necessary time into her classes, particularly after her father told her she had to keep her grades up to keep playing.
As far as classes go, Sophie maintains slightly above average marks. She is particularly good at transfigurations, a skill that seems to come naturally for her. Figuring that she could sacrifice some time in that class due to her natural ability, Sophie doesn’t usually study all that much for the class, using the extra time to practice Quidditch. If she put the effort that she could into Transfigurations, however, she could be the top of her class in that discipline. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sophie particularly struggles with Charms, a skill she can’t seem to master no matter how hard she tries. Determined to do at least decently in all her courses at Hogwarts, Sophie resorted to getting tutoring in Charms, which has steadily increased her marks in that subject.
From her first year, Sophie has been on the Quidditch team, a feat that is still unusual for Hogwarts students. She started out playing only Chaser, which she still does a majority of the time, but due to her self-imposed training, she is skilled in all positions in the game and is able to play each of them very well if the need arises.
Sophie cannot wait for her fifth year of school to begin. Even though she did get to go on vacation with her family over the summer, outside of that, the months were very boring for her. She is more than ready for the school year to start up and for Quidditch practices and matches to start up again so that she has other people to practice with. Her goal as always is to do well in classes, but more importantly, to be the very best Quidditch player at the school. With the new plays that she worked on over the summer, she is confident that she has stepped up her game in comparison to the others players.

Pansy easily found the section of books that she was looking for to complete the charms essay, but she was struggling to find the specific text and information that she needed. With a not-so-silent sigh of frustration, the girl noisily shoved yet another unhelpful book back onto the shelves. Beyond annoyed at her lack of success, she began simply tossing the books on the floor when the proved unuseful for her purposes. She was not in the mood to bother with looking at all the books in the library twice for one dumb assignment.
The Slytherin glanced up in surprise to see Madam Pince standing over her, arms folded and looking much less than pleased. "Sorry," Pansy muttered under her breath though the apology was clearly insincere. Regardless, she starting picking up the books that she had purposely dropped and unceremoniously shoving them back onto the shelves. Madam Pince's frown deepened, but, gratefully, she chose to move on and walk away anyway. Pansy let out another sigh, wondering what possible other things would happen that day to frustrate her noble goal of completing her homework. It figured the professor would give an assignment when there would be no assistance from the clearly poor selection of books in the Hogwarts library.
There had to be something here to help her out. If not, there was no way she could properly complete that Charms essay. Lost in her own annoyance with life in general, Pansy was caught entirely off-guard by the female voice that spoke to her from behind. She turned around sharply to see who dared to interrupt her, ready to give the girl a strong warning glare or even a good verbal warning if necessary before realizing that it was Sophronia and that she was offering her a book.
Why are you offering to help? Pansy thought to herself, confusion wrinkling her forehead. With a mental shake of her head, Pansy snatched the book from Sophronia. "It figures someone else had it," she said tersely before sitting down to work on the assignment. Normally she would have given the girl another good insult to complete their conversation, but she was so caught off-guard by Sophronia's giving her the book that she really didn't know how to respond. The two of them simply didn't get along on principle, and had roles been reversed, Pansy wasn't sure she would have given up the book to the other girl.
Still feeling as though she should say something else, Pansy added a very quiet but less harsh, "Thanks."
